Eduardo Navas is an artist, historian and writer specializing in new media. He is the founder and editor of Net Art Review and newmediaFIX. He taught the theory and practice of new media at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He received his PhD on the History of Art, Theory and Criticism from the University of California, San Diego. His works have been shown at the MACAY Museum, Mérida, Yucatán; the Movie and Television Design Center, Mexico City; the Whitney Museum in New York; at Turbulence.org, New York; and on several occasions at the Santa Monica Museum, Los Angeles. Navas has collaborated with artists and institutions from several countries, organizing events and developing new publishing methods. He has been on award panels for digital productions for Turbulence.org (Boston), Rhizome.org (NYC) and Creative Capital (NYC). He was coordinator of the CALIT2 Gallery at UC San Diego.
