Harris Skibell is a composer and digital designer. His concert and radio works have been performed at venues such as Roulette, New Music America, the Whitney Museum, CBGB Gallery 313, and the National Public Radio system. Skibell is principal of product msd (www.productmsd.com), a New York City-based music company, which creates noise of all kinds for television, web, film and art projects. Recent projects include music for a Flash-based presentation for sbi.razorfish, music for the documentary “William Blake: Inspiration and Vision” and the original audio design for the site installation “Cherry Blossom” by Antenna Design NY. He helped found Turbulence with Helen Thorington. Skibell has been composer-in-residence at the Columbia University Computer Music Studios, The Center for Computer Music at Brooklyn College, and at Studio PASS in New York City. He holds a B.A. in English from Boston University and a Masters of Music in Composition from the University of Texas at Austin.
