Jillian McDonald is a Canadian artist who divides her time between New York and Canada. She is an Associate Professor of Art at Pace University. Solo shows and projects include Clark Plaza in Montréal, the Esker Foundation in Calgary, Moti Hasson in New York, and Lilith Performance Studio in Sweden. Her work was included in group exhibitions at The Chelsea Museum in New York, The Edith Russ Haus for Media Art in Germany, and The Sundance Film Festival in Utah. Her work was featured in a 2013 documentary by Paul Kennedy on CBC’s IDEAS. It has been reviewed in The New York Times, Art Papers, The Globe and Mail, Border Crossings, and Canadian Art. Her work appears in several books including Better Off Dead, edited by Sarah Lauro and Deconstructing Brad Pitt, edited by Christopher Schaberg. She received grants and commissions from NYFA, The Canada Council for the Arts, Turbulence, The Verizon Foundation, and NYSCA. She attended international residencies at Glenfiddich in Scotland, The Headlands in California, The LMCC in New York, and The Banff Centre for the Arts.
