New York, NY, USA
Ursula Endlicher translates real-time data into choreographies for Internet art works, performances and installations. The Internet has impacted her practice since 1994, engaging her in questions surrounding the oddities and commodities of contemporary networked behaviour while using these as fodder for her performative “characters” in video and interactive works. She has exhibited and performed her work internationally in venues such as transmediale festival in Berlin; SIGGRAPH Asia, Japan; ZERO1 Biennial; ISEA; the Center for Contemporary Art Warsaw, Poland; the Center for Performance Research, Light Industry, and at Postmasters Gallery, NY.

Her work is part of the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art, the ursula blickle’s videoarchiv at the Belvedere in Vienna, Austria, and the Rose Goldsen Archive of New Media Art at Cornell University. Her Internet art work has been commissioned for Whitney.org and Turbulence.org. A new real-time data driven theater/performance work will premier at WUK.performing.arts in Vienna, Austria, in November 2015. Previous theater works have been presented at the xMPL / Contemporary Arts Center in Irvine, California, and at the Theater am Neumarkt in Zürich, Switzerland.

She has been invited to participate in several international festivals and symposia on networked culture, most recently at “Pratt Upload”, and at CRUMB.
